Jeans by All Saints £75

In the new year, I decided to give a new cut of denim a go, just to make a change from skinnies which I am scared I will never be able to fully let go of. The jeans are basically an extreme version of the carrot fitting jean and are basically a male form of the women’s hareem trend. They were by All Saints who seem to have pioneered this trend and have coined the term ‘gun fit’ to describe them.

I don’t know whether I just bought the wrong pair, but they are just very very unflattering and end up making you look like you are wearing a air of G-Star Raw jeans until you look at your ankles, and when you’ve got thighs unlike a rugby players, why would you want to hide them!

My advice is to steer clear of them at all costs. However, it seems that the newer version arriving in All Saints’ spring summer appear to have much more shape, although, I’m not sure you’d want that terrible River Islandesque branding on the back pocket.

Imagine my joy when I saw Josh Beech was fronting All Saints campaign this SS.
It’s hard to create an effortlessly cool look but this is perfect, the black decks with turn ups look so good.

Although All Saints have always been known for their dark and alternative look, it seems many companies are using alternative models. Under Chris Bailey, Burberry have revamped their image modeled on five musicians, one being George Craig from One Night Only, but the most surprising is Pringle Of Scotland who when you picture them, think of your Dad golfing in an argyle sweater, they have enlisted Ash Stymest for their new campaign.ad2
